International Centre for Migration and Border Security Established
May 17, 2019 | Calgary, AB & Canberra, ACT
Emerging from the 2019 Borders in Globalization conference in San Diego, CA, Dr. Kelly Sundberg (Canada) and Dr. Jamie Ferrill (Australia) established the International Centre for Migration and Border Security Studies in an initial 'virtual' format. The vision for this global centre is to provide a platform through which current and former migration and border security professionals, along with applied border security scholars, can network and collaborate on projects focused on advancing research and teaching in the areas of migration and border security -- the hope being that migration and border security studies becomes a distinctive field of research and scholarship.
